DescriptionProvide coaching, employee training(s), and overall support and follow-up with teachers by implementing the Practice-Based Coaching strategy.
Ensure that teachers are getting the direction needed to successfully teach and implement the assigned curriculum and practices which promote high quality learning and school readiness.
Assist in the development of new policies and procedures as well as assist with updating and/or revising current policies, procedures, or forms as needed.
Assist in planning and organizing In-Service Training Meetings and when requested, prepare and present trainings to staff.
This is a part-year position with various mandatory non-work weeks throughout the school year working approximately 50 weeks per year.

Abide by all agency policies, procedures and Community Action Code of Ethics.
3.
Support education staff by utilizing the Practice-Based Coaching cyclical process, as well as, program policies and procedures.
4.
Conduct classroom observations to promote developmentally appropriate practices, sound program approaches to delivery of services, and impart culturally and linguistically appropriate beliefs.
5.
Reliable in the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and maintain annual recertification.
6.
Promote best practices in early childhood development based on Head Start Performance Standards, Creative Curriculum, State Licensing Requirements, and other prescribed curricula.
7.
Develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with education staff.
8.
Interrater reliable in Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment system and maintain recertification.
9.
Assist with the collection and gathering of child progress data.
10.
Perform TSG Curriculum Fidelity checks OR Track TEACH recipients' progress in education pursuits, including assuring all paperwork and files are in order and contracts are signed.
11.
Oversee the onboarding and training plan of new hire Education Staff and provide more in-depth and hands-on training to prepare and equip staff to enter the classroom setting.
12.
Work closely with the Site Supervisors to develop training pieces based on staff's needs and on the outcomes of assessment tools and observations utilized in our program.
13.
Encourage parent and community volunteerism and participate in other activities to generate in-kind.
14.
This position requires occasionally filling in for other teachers, possibly at another site.
15.

Prepare and present training(s) to staff.
18.
Other duties as requested by Site Supervisor, Education & Disabilities Manager, Head Start Director, and the Executive Director and/or other members of the Head Start Leadership Team.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Master in Early Childhood Education or Related Field Must possess computer skills to create and develop reports and track relevant information in an efficient manner.
Must Possess training and experience in areas that include child growth and development, early childhood education and family support.
Ability to organize and manage time effectively, and work independently.
Strong communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff, clients, and other professionals.
Attend and participate in staff trainings and other training as required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
